The Pancake Puffer

My son likes loves is obsessed with the Jetix channel.  This is the channel that is the home of Superman, Batman and Spiderman cartoons.  It is also the channel that is forever advertising every kind of toy that my son NEEDS.

"Mommy I NEED that new Power Ranger motorcycle"
"Mommy I NEED that race car track"

So when my son said I NEED The Pancake Puffer I didn't take him seriously.  My son NEEDS everything so I just thought it was another silly request.  And plus it was the Pancake Puffer, what could he really want with that? Then he saw it in Target on one of our many shopping adventures.  (Mommy NEEDS things too right?)  And since that day he spotted it I cannot get through the store without the begging "I NEED the pancake puffer Mommy".

I broke down today and I purchased the "Puffer" on my lunch break.  When I picked Donnie up from school I had it waiting on his car seat with a bow on it.  The boy nearly lost his mind when he got into the car.

Tonight for dinner we had pancakes "puffed".  We also had pancakes puffed with chocolate syrup pumped inside.  Yep, processed chocolately syrupy sugar in whole wheat pancake batter tastes like HEAVEN.   I love the "puffer".  The puffer is my new cooking companion. I am going to puff everything.

Tomorrow my husband is having puffed steak.

PS. Not a paid post at all..but everyone needs a puffer.  :)

I can see why he wanted it! Those puffed pancakes look awesome!

Hahahaha -- puffed steak! I always wondered if those things worked. Now I know. I better steer clear, or I'm likely to eat 27 chocolate filled ones in one sitting...

Oh that is awesome! I want a puffer. Maybe. Can you puff anything else with it? I've never heard of one before. Lorelei is still excited about spoons.

I'm sorry, I keep reading "puffer" but I keep thinking "fluffer", and it just gives your post a whole new vibe! Gotta get my mind out of the gutter, apparently!

but does it play well with others... like... the magic bullet?

ooh now THAT is an idea....do you just put normal pancake batter in it?...hhmm i might just think about getting one if it ain't too expensive, seriously how many pancake puffers will ya really eat for it to be cost-effective :)

I've never seen anything like that... it's like a cross between a pancake and a waffle ... how neat!
They look delicious, and the price is right!

I wonder now, if puffed steak would really work ;)

So those do look totally delicious. I have also spotted this several times on my "need" trips to Target.

Maybe I will break down as well. Because really you sold me on the chocolate syrup puffed inside. :)

SWEET! That is awesome. It's scary how much advertising effects our kiddos huh? My son NEEDS so much stuff too! He circles everything in every catalogue we get in the mail too. Those look yummy by the way!

Too funny, because Emma has been asking forever for a pancake puffer! And we were just in Target. It would really suck to have to go back...

Oh and Jetix, I know everything there is to know about Power Rangers. Unfortunately.

Pancakes with chocolate infused. I need to get me one of those puffers!

I must have a puffer. Seriously, could you put ice cream in there?

May 17, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterconversemomma

Hmmmmm if Max saw that. it would be pancake puffing time here too!

MMMM. Those look tasty. I always wonder about those items you "see on tv." Knowing this one works makes me want to try it out.... I love pancakes and think filling them with Chocolate would rock the boys worlds!

I saw it on one of those 'But WAIT! If you order RIGHT NOW...' commercials so I never took it seriously. :)

OMG! R-O-F-L! I remember you posting about your son wanting one :) That is awesome you got it and love it! I must confess I drool everytime I see the commercial. I'm sure if my daughter nudged me, we'd be having pancake puffs for breakfast, lunch and dinner :)

A pancake puffer ? This is really a very very good idea. Could you tell me if it's heavy ? Target is my first stop if not my only stop when I come to the US so no wonder why...! Let me know how good were those puffy steaks !

FYI: Not the best Mother's Day gift.

Some things you find out when it's a little too late.

Oh no- now I can't resist after your testimonial! I was hoping you'd say it sucked & wasn't worth the money.. I can feel the pounds coming on just anticipating that yummy goodness!

Puffed steak!!! hahaha. Knowing you, you probably tried it.

Gosh, I think Donnie and I must have some weird connection. The Chipmunks... The Pancake Puffer. I have ALWAYS wanted one of these. And now that the family is growing, I find it easy to allow myself to buy these crazy kitchen appliances... because now I'm "cooking for a family!"

I love that you guys had the pancakes for dinner. That's a memory he'll never forget! :)

I want to warn everyone not to order the Puffer off TV. They charged more than they should have, and when I went to ask for my order to be changed or canceled, nobody could "find" my order. When I finally did get someone to find my account, the thing had already been shipped! I think the product sounds great, but the company's shady business practices make me just want to return it when it arrives.
