Toilet Comedy Hour- Tickets on sale now!

Potty time has been a HUGE challenge in my house for my three year old little man. Well, I should say going number two for him is the challenge. (Whenever my hubby and I do something together with the kids we always make a HUGE deal and say we are doing ____fill in the blank___ LIKE A FAMILY.) His new game is to have everyone in the house “watch” him sit on the bowl for what feels like hours on end LIKE A FAMILY!

Well the other night he had us laughing so hard with his toilet bowl comedy with the reasons why his poop would not come out:

1. The poop is getting dressed; it will be out in a couple minutes.

2. It is flying around with Superman.

3. It is hanging out with Batman.

4. It is not ready to come out yet.

5. It is talking to someone.

He is being dead serious talking about his poop as if it was a person.  We were all hysterical watching Donnie entertain us from the toilet bowl he even had some books for props. (it is a male thing so my husband tells me) I was literally sitting on the bathroom floor with the baby on my lap while my hubby sat on the laundry basket laughing over how creative his responses were, BUT guess what though? It never happened.  Not one single nugget.

Can’t wait for the Comedy Hour hosted by Donnie. Anyone interested, I could sell tickets in advance?  :)

T3 does THE SAME THING when it comes to Number 2. We have the most fascinating stream of consciousness discussions about and with his poo - "Mama, the poopies are in my dupa. Come on poopies! Lightning McQueen is my favorite car. He's driving around. He's going poopies too. Mama, look at the colors on the wall! Oh, he it comes. No, it's not coming out. Mama, can we go see the kids now. Mama, I doing big poopies in the potty. No, it's not coming out..." About an hour later, no poop and we continue on with our day LOL.

Ah, the joys of potty training! We used to sing/cheer for Tristan "Push it out, push it out, WAAAY out!"

I'm waiting for these lines from Donnie-
"My poopie forgot something & had to go back to get it!"
"It's taking a potty break!"

Make sure you keep us posted on his new sayings! I love potty humor from kids!

Awww . . . who would have thought going poo poo could be so much fun, and for the entire family! I'm trying to picture everyone gathered around the "family" toilet--too, too funny.

Ha ha! Hilarious!

Where does he get his humor from? LOL, funny kid!

February 21, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterOHmommy

Hilarious! That is so cute!

We are potty training(oh, I mean "potty learning") 2, yes TWO little munchkins right now! I feel your pain and share in the hysteria of it all. Why is pee so easy and poop is the freaking enemy? I don't get it!

Good Luck to you and at least you are laughing along the way!

Take Care

Too funny! My daughter used to talk to her pee and tell it to come out because "your grandparents are here and they want to see you". Huh?!! Made no sense to me until I read that your son's poop was hanging out with Superman. Oh wait...it still doesn't make sense.

ROFL!!!! OMG how do they come up with this stuff :) You must remind him later how he gave life to his crap!

I can't say that I miss those days. My little man flat refused to use his potty for anything other than to pee in. At least he was ready once he started kindergarten.

Kids and toilets make for great humor. When I was pregnant with my third daughter and sitting on the toilet, my second daughter, who was 3 at the time, came into the bathroom, took one look at me, pointed at the toilet, and said, "I think you should get a bigger one. This one doesn't fit anymore."

I couldn't stop laughing.

So...I'm interested to know who he gets the whole 'talking about his poop like it's a person' thing from. You? Or Don?

4 tickets please! Hilarious..

I'm going to pass on tickets, but I love the one about the poop getting dressed. HEY, maybe it's getting dressed in a phone booth like SUPERMAN, even!

Funny little man!

Who needs a fireplace when the whole family can gather round the potty? Family bonding at its best :)
